Ms. S

“I am elderly - 83 years old - and have really bad disability issues. I have Alzheimer’s, I am losing my sight, I’ve really slowed down.

There’s a saying, ‘If you live too long you outlive family, friends and finances.’ And I’ve done that.

I can’t get to food banks anymore so Manna bringing food to me has been wonderful. You give so much and you are all so nice. Kindness has become rare these days. Manna gives so much and I do share with neighbors who are reluctant to go to food banks… some because they are ashamed… some because they are afraid. So Manna is a blessing to me and others around me. I’m not a believer but I believe in goodness and appreciate it. I’ve held hands (with the volunteers) and prayed. So many people aren’t nice anymore and so many people that work with the poor look down on them and act superior but you people aren’t that way at all. You’re always kind. Always nice.

I have worked in food and clothing banks so I know how much work goes into it. Thank you very much.”
